Evangelist Glen Weeks was born and raised in a Christian home. Though he made a profession of faith early in life, it was not until he was older that he actually received Christ in his heart. He served in the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant Ranger Force. A combat veteran of the Viet Nam conflict, he was wounded three times and holds the bronze star for valor, along with several other decorations for heroism. He joined the New York State Troopers in 1970 and was involved in all around investigative work as a trooper for three years, giving him a wide variety of life’s experiences to draw upon. He has literally seen life in its many facets, both good and bad.
Through special meetings in a fundamental Baptist Church, Glen trusted Christ as his Savior, was baptized and dedicated himself to the Lord, responding to the Lord’s call for Evangelism The Lord convinced Glen of his call to the office of the Evangelist through the scripture in Acts 26:16-18 “But rise and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom I now send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me”. Glen attended Tennessee Temple Bible College in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1973-1976. He was a member of the Singing Men of Temple and held the position of Chaplain. He was ordained to the Gospel ministry and commissioned as an Evangelist in June, 1976 by the Independent Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized in Malta, New York.
Brother Weeks is now a veteran in his Lord’s army, having served thirty nine years, preaching in all types of places and situations. He has completed hundreds of revival and evangelistic meetings and campaigns. Under the Lord’s leading, Glen along with his wife Jennifer, and daughter Victoria returned to the United States in 1979 after spending three full years ministering in Australia. They lived and ministered out of Pensacola, Florida and are members of Faith Baptist Church. Upon moving to Pensacola Glen was able to continue his education at Pensacola Christian College graduating in 1992 completing his Bachelor degree. They now live in Hernando, MS close to their daughter and her family. Glen has worked among independent Baptist missionaries and churches. He has an unique ministry in aiding missionaries in English speaking countries some of which include many immigrants from around the world, often times requiring an interpreter. Years ago, the Lord burdened his heart to help missionaries, by providing Evangelistic services for them, helping to build the local church bodies in their countries. He returned to the United States to expand his outreach into other countries. He has ministered in Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Haiti, New Guinea, New Caledonia, South Africa and Australia as well as the United States.
